NOTICE OF YOUR FINANCIAL PRIVACY RIGHTS

We, our, and us, when used in this notice, mean Bank of Rio Vista.
This is our privacy notice for our customers. When we use the words “you” and “your” we mean the following types of customers:
- Our consumer customers who have a continuing relationship by purchasing or holding financial products or services such as a(n):
- Deposit account
- Loan Account
- Credit card account
- Safe deposit box
- Self-directed Individual Retirement Account
- All persons (individuals) who do not have a continuing relationship with us but who may use a financial product or service we provide in isolated transactions. This includes, for example, someone who:
- Applies for a loan that does not get Completed
We will tell you the sources of the information we collect about you. We will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.
The Bank of Rio Vista respects the privacy and security of customers’ and consumers’ personal financial information. We understand that our customers furnish sensitive information to the bank, and the bank is committed to treating such information responsibly.
We want to ensure your personal information is protected, and that you understand the policies that protect you. The bank will take all necessary steps to safeguard sensitive information that has been entrusted to us by our customers. If you decide to close your accounts or become an inactive customer, we will still adhere to the policies and practices described in this disclosure. In addition, we will maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard this personal information, Some state laws may further restrict the sharing of your nonpublic personal information.

The following privacy policy and procedures outlines the bank’s practice regarding personally identifiable financial information.
Types of Information the Bank Collects
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, the internet, by telephone or otherwise.
- Information about your transactions with us.
- Information we receive from a consumer credit reporting agency.
- Information from public records accessed in the ordinary course of business.
- Information generated by third parties to verify information you have given us.
Type of Information the Bank Discloses
The Bank of Rio Vista does not disclose personal financial information except as outlined in this disclosure. By law the bank may disclose certain personally identifiable information without allowing consumers the right to opt out of the Banks sharing agreements under the following circumstances:
- To companies who perform transaction processing for the bank in the following circumstances:
- If the transaction, service, or product is requested or authorized by the consumer (example: Unaffiliated third parties, which provide products such as the processing and printing of checks, credit cards, or credit reporting services)
- To disclose information necessary to enforce the bank’s legal or contractual rights or the rights of any other person who is engaged in the financial transaction
- To disclose information required in the ordinary course of banking business (example: billing, processing, or clearing of items)
- To the extent permissible under the Right to Financial Privacy Act
- To a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act
- To comply with federal, state, or local laws, rules and or regulations and other applicable legal requirements
Safeguarding Customer Information
We only grant access to nonpublic personal information about you (such as your name, address, social security number and credit history) to company employees and non-affiliated service providers so that they can provide or offer products and services to you, process and service your accounts, and administer our business.
All nonaffiliated companies that act on our behalf and receive Customer Information from us are contractually obligated to keep the information we provide to them confidential, and to use the Customer Information we share only to provide the services we ask them to perform.
In addition, we maintain, physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and state standards to guard this personal information.
What You Can Do to Help
The Bank of Rio Vista recommends that you take the following precautions to guard against the disclosure and unauthorized use of your account and personal information:
- Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security number, etc. to other persons
- Review your monthly account statements thoroughly and report any suspicious activity to us immediately
- Report lost or stolen checks, credit or debit cards immediately
- If someone calls you explaining the call is on behalf of the bank and asks for your account number, you should beware. Bank personnel will never ask you to provide private personal information they already have
- Safeguard ATM, credit and debit cards: Memorize PINs (personal identification numbers) and refrain from writing PINs, Social Security numbers or credit card numbers where they could be found
- Review your credit report at least once every year. Make sure all information is up to date and accurate. Have information relating to fraudulent transactions deleted.
- Keep your information with us current. If your address or phone number changes, please notify us in writing. We will verify the change is correct and protect your accounts from identity theft.
